Opal is a precious gemstone the birthstone for October, as well as being used to celebrate 14 years of marriage. Its name is derived from the word Sankrik or upula meaning Jewel or precious stone, and was first used during Victorian Times. Opals have lots of colours in them that change with the light; most reflect reds blues and greens. Set in white and yellow gold this lovely gemstone will look stunning. We have a lovely collection of opal rings surrounded by sparkling diamonds that set them off beautifully. Each opal is very unique and different every time, this therefore gives the wearer a lovely individual piece of jewellery.
