Our collection includes jade necklaces and pendants, jade earrings, jade rings and jade bracelets, all set in sterling silver, yellow gold or white gold. Every piece is individually photographed and filmed so you can see exactly what you'll receive.

What is Jade?

The term jade refers to two distinct minerals: jadeite and nephrite. Both have been prized for centuries for their durability and smooth lustre, with jadeite generally being the rarer of the two. Jade has been used in jewellery and decorative objects for over 5,000 years, and has been highly valued across many cultures — particularly in Asia, where it has long symbolised purity, harmony and protection.

Although jade is most commonly recognised for its rich green colour, it also appears in pale green, white, lavender and yellow. The most prized jade is a vibrant, translucent green that glows beautifully when polished. High quality jade has a smooth texture and a gentle translucency that gives every piece a soft, elegant shine.

A Question We're Often Asked

"Is this necklace Jadeite or Nephrite?"

Alan's reply:

All our jade is real, natural, untreated jade — non-colour enhanced and non-dyed — and where applicable, set with real natural diamonds. The piece you receive is the exact one shown in the photos, which is why we always recommend watching the video too, as each piece is completely individual.

As for Jadeite or Nephrite — honestly, even after 37 years as a jeweller, it's not always straightforward to answer. There's a lot of conflicting information out there. What I can tell you is that all our jade stones are genuine. If you'd like to try a piece and see it for yourself, we offer a full money-back refund (not a credit note) — you'd only be responsible for the return postage.

The Meaning and Benefits of Jade

Known as the "stone of heaven", jade carries a rich spiritual and cultural history spanning over 5,000 years. In traditional gemstone beliefs, jade is associated with harmony, creativity and emotional well-being. Many people wear jade not only for its beauty but for its symbolic meaning — it is thought to promote calmness, inner peace, protection and good fortune.

Worn close to the heart as a necklace or pendant, jade makes a deeply meaningful gift for a loved one. It is also a popular choice for milestone birthdays: gifted for an 18th or 21st, it can symbolise adulthood and strength; for a 30th or 40th, it represents wisdom, prosperity and personal growth.

Jade Hardness & Durability

Jade measures approximately 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs hardness scale, making it a relatively durable gemstone for everyday wear. While not as hard as diamond, it resists scratching well when properly cared for, making it suitable for regular use with sensible handling and storage.

How to Care for Jade Jewellery

  • Remove jade jewellery before showering, swimming or using household chemicals, as these can dull the polished surface over time
  • Clean gently with a soft damp cloth, then dry with a clean cloth
  • Polish the silver or gold setting with a jewellery polishing cloth to restore its shine
  • Store separately from harder gemstones such as diamonds or sapphires to avoid scratches

With the right care, your jade jewellery will remain beautiful for many years to come.
